  • The Carrick on Loch Lomond (15 minutes drive from Mansefield House): Fast becoming known as one of the must play golf courses in Scotland, this stunning course uses every inch of the dramatic Scottish landscape on offer, straddling the fault lines between the Scottish Lowlands and Highlands, with nine holes set in each.
  • Inveraray Golf Course (25 minutes): A 9 hole parkland course on the edge of the historical town of Inveraray with spectacular views of Loch Fyne and the surrounding mountains. The course was constructed in 1993 and has matured into a fine layout. The course offers a variety of holes and challenges and is the only 9 hole course in the area to offer a challenge to all levels of golfer.
  • Buchanan Castle Golf Club, near Drymen (35 minutes drive away): This scenic golf course on the banks of Loch Lomond is set within the historic grounds of Buchanan Estate. A superb James Braid course surrounded by breathtaking scenery gives a great backdrop to a challenging course with lovely greens.
  • Cardross Golf Club (30 minutes): A stunning golf course with scenic views over the River Clyde. Designed by James Braid, this parkland course has a fine mixture of challenging fairways and interesting greens, together with a great clubhouse.
  • Helensburgh Golf Club (25 minutes): This superb scenic moorland golf course has panoramic views over the River Clyde and Loch Lomond.  Interesting greens, undulating landscape and James Braid influenced bunkers make this a fine test of golf. Excellent off-course facilities.
  • Lochgoilhead (25 minutes): A scenic nine hole course overlooking Loch Goil, following the head of the loch before crossing over the River Goil.
